Due diligence works better in the open

Every case note can be checked, answered and challenged. Investors, issuers, technical reviewers, journalists and researchers each have a way in. What you contribute is published under your name or a pseudonym, and results that contradict us are published too.

How a case unfolds

  1. Day 0

    Pre-notice

Facts, sources and questions go to the issuer before anything is public.

    Issuer can correct facts
  2. +5 business days

    Published

The case note goes live with any comments received so far.

Everyone can read, check and cite
  3. +15 business days

    Reply window ends

Replies are published in full. No reply is recorded as such.

    Issuer replies; reviewers check
  4. +30 business days

    Long overdue

The case stays open and the record shows the wait.

    Late replies are always added
  5. Any time

    Outcome

Explained, corrected, disputed or unresolved. New evidence can reopen a case.

We correct our own errors in public

Ground rules for every contribution

  1. Public, verifiable facts only

Give the source for every statement. Hearsay is not accepted.

  2. Facts, not accusations

Describe what the documents and the chain show. Do not speculate about motive.

  3. No private data, no intrusion

Do not access non-public systems or approach issuer staff under a false identity.

  4. Declare your interests

Say whether you hold the product or work for the issuer or a competitor.

  5. We check the form, not the verdict

Checks and tips are reviewed against these rules. Comments appear at once and are handled after posting: reported or rule-breaking comments are removed with a note.

Contributors

Empty until the first contribution is published.

Our boundaries

No payment from issuers for reviews. No bounties for now. No "scam" labels: descriptive disclosure grades and factual event markers instead. No credit opinions or ESG scores at this stage. No product named before its issuer has been notified.

Online forms open with the first published case. Until then, write to us.
